Privacy policy

More Focus is built around a simple principle: what you do on your Mac stays on your Mac. This policy explains what that means in detail and how it maps to your rights under GDPR, CCPA, and Apple’s App Store privacy requirements.

1. Who we are

More Focus is published by Flower Execution Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).

For any privacy question, write to team@morefocus.app. That inbox is monitored by a human.

2. What we collect about you

Nothing.

Specifically, we do not collect, store on any server, transmit off your device, or share any of the following data categories, using Apple’s Data Types taxonomy from the App Store privacy nutrition label:

  • Contact info: No

  • Health & fitness data: No

  • Financial information: No

  • Location data: No

  • Sensitive information: No

  • Contacts: No

  • User content, including photos, videos, audio, files, and documents: No

  • Browsing history: No

  • Search history: No

  • Identifiers, including User ID, Device ID, and Advertising ID: No

  • Purchases: No

  • Usage data, including interactions and ads: No

  • Diagnostics, including crashes and performance data: No

  • Other data: No

There is no account system, no login, no telemetry, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting service, no advertising identifier collection, and no server-side component.

The app does not “phone home.” We have no servers that receive anything from your Mac.

3. Tracking

We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

We do not use any third-party tracking technologies, including advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or fingerprinting.

For App Tracking Transparency purposes, More Focus does not request tracking permission because it never tracks.

4. What More Focus reads locally on your Mac

To draw the dim and blur effect, More Focus needs to know which window is currently frontmost.

It reads only the position and size of that window. It does not read:

  • The contents of the window

  • The text inside the window

  • Any data inside the application that owns the window

This reading happens entirely on your Mac and is never recorded, transmitted, or shared.

For the Pro features — Cursor Highlight, Spotlight, and Click-to-draw — the app detects when you hold the fn or fn + ⇧ modifier keys.

It does not read, log, or store any keystrokes, key combinations, or text you type.

5. What is stored locally on your Mac

More Focus stores a small amount of data inside macOS’s standard application preferences, UserDefaults, on your Mac so your settings persist between launches.

This may include:

  • Blur and dim intensity values

  • Selected preset: Open, Soft, Focus, Privacy, or Custom

  • Whether the Pro features, including Cursor Highlight and Spotlight, are toggled on

  • The size of the cursor cues

  • Whether you completed the onboarding flow

  • Whether Focus mode was active when you last quit

This data never leaves your Mac.

You can erase it at any time by uninstalling the app or deleting the relevant entries from: ~/Library/Containers/app.morefocus.MoreFocus/

6. In-App Purchases

More Focus Pro is a one-time, non-consumable In-App Purchase handled exclusively by Apple’s App Store.

We do not see your:

  • Payment details

  • Apple ID

  • Name

  • Billing address

  • Transaction history

Purchase verification happens on-device through Apple’s StoreKit framework using cryptographically signed receipts. These receipts are stored locally inside Apple’s sandbox and are never sent to us.

7. Permissions we request

Input Monitoring

For Pro features only, macOS requires Input Monitoring permission so the app can detect when you hold the fn or fn + ⇧ modifier keys to activate cursor cues.

We do not use this permission to read or log any keystrokes.

You can revoke this permission at any time in: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring

We do not request any other privacy-sensitive macOS permissions, including:

  • Accessibility

  • Camera

  • Microphone

  • Photos

  • Contacts

  • Calendar

  • Reminders

  • Location

  • Files

  • Full Disk Access

  • Screen Recording

9. Children

More Focus is not directed at children under 16.

We do not knowingly collect any data from any user of any age, including children.

If you believe a child has somehow provided us data, contact us at team@morefocus.app and we will confirm and document the absence.
